Our client is an electrical and mechanical contractor delivering projects across industrial, infrastructure and water-sector environments. They are seeking an Electrical Lead Engineer to provide technical direction and strengthen engineering delivery.

The Opportunity

Working with the Design Manager, design team and project delivery teams, you’ll take ownership of engineering accuracy, compliance and practical design outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, reviewing and refining electrical engineering solutions.
• Providing RPEQ certification for designs within your area of competence.
• Maintaining technical accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Working with delivery teams to meet client requirements, project budgets and programmes.
• Identifying engineering risks and recommending practical mitigation measures.
• Reviewing design documentation and mentoring emerging engineers.
• Improving engineering methods, quality assurance and the use of design tools.

What We’re Looking For

You’re an experienced electrical engineer who can explain technical decisions clearly and work confidently across design, client and delivery interfaces.

You’ll bring:

• Senior electrical engineering experience across complex projects.
• Strong industrial, infrastructure and water-sector experience.
• Sound knowledge of project delivery and engineering risk management.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering design and analysis tools.
• The judgement to resolve technical challenges under pressure.
• A collaborative approach to mentoring and improving design quality.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a relevant engineering field.
• Current RPEQ registration.
• Substantial engineering experience consistent with a lead role.
