Our client is planning a Controls Lead Engineer appointment to strengthen its controls and automation capability across industrial and infrastructure projects.

This is an opportunity to explore your next move ahead of the anticipated recruitment period in the first half of 2027.

The Opportunity

You’ll provide senior controls and automation leadership, bringing together the technical disciplines that support integrated engineering solutions.

The role’s core focus will include:

• Providing technical leadership across controls and automation engineering.
• Applying PLC and SCADA expertise to industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Bringing instrumentation and control systems together through system integration.
• Supporting project delivery with senior controls engineering capability.

Our client operates across electrical and mechanical contracting, with services that include the design and installation of control equipment.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a senior controls or automation engineer with the depth of technical experience to lead solutions across connected systems.

You’ll bring:

• Demonstrated senior controls or automation engineering experience.
• Strong PLC and SCADA capability.
• Experience with instrumentation and system integration.
• Relevant industrial or infrastructure project experience.
• The ability to provide clear technical direction.

Highly Regarded

• Experience delivering controls and automation solutions within the water sector.
